Transformer based Microphone Preamp Card / PCB. The Transformer is a step up type in a mumetal screening can (theres no marking on them, so unsure of there brand but they do look a bit sowter like). There’s a gain pot plus a pad and phantom power switches. The approx. gain range is 28db to 50db although this could be adjusted by changing a couple of resistors if needed. The output is unbalanced & polarity reversed (you can simply swap hot & cold over at the input for absolute polarity if needed). You might want to consider buffering this output if you need to add an output level control and / or drive an output transformer etc.
I have just re capped all the electrolytic‘s with Panasonic FC’s & put new (Texas Instrument) opamps in them (NE5534’s). They are used but are in good condition & tested / working. Nice sounding pre’s with plenty of that old transformer colouration etc. I do have output cards (not included) with transformer balanced outs if required - please ask. I have wired a Female XLR insert on the input (for ease of testing) which I will leave attached - the output is via the red & blue twisted unterminated pair.
Power is supplied via the IDC connector / ribbon cable - each is supplied with an IDC plug & a short piece of ribbon cable attached as per the pictures. They require a dual rail & well regulated +/-15~18v supply plus +48v if you want to use the Phantom Power. The phantom supply should have its 0v connected to the star / 0v point of the 15~18v audio supply rails. I do have power supply regulator PCB‘s (not included) for sale if needed - please ask.
They will need to be mounted in a suitably screened enclosrue & electronics / audio knowledge will be needed to connect these up correctly / get them working without damaging them. Approx dimensions are 98mm long excluding the gain pot (or 115mm long including the IDC connector) by 53mm wide.
