Fender Highway Series Parlor Acoustic-electric Guitar - Mahogany

Serial Number: MXA2404877 Weight: 5 lbs 9 oz

Fuel Up with Freedom Onstage!

The Highway Series Parlor acoustic-electric guitar is fuel for onstage freedom — and like a good road trip, it brings new perspectives that inspire creativity. This innovative design pairs full-size parlor playability with the comfort and portability of significantly reduced body depth. Although the feel is compact, the solid tonewoods used in the Highway Series Parlor deliver a full-bodied unplugged sound that’s paired with custom Fishman Fluence electronics tailored for onstage use. The body features a true X-braced acoustic sound chamber, and extra details such as a bolt-on mahogany neck and sealed tuners help you reach destinations safely and in record time. The Highway Series Parlor is certainly playable unplugged, but it truly shines on the stage. Guitarists find the thinline body naturally suppresses feedback for a plugged-in sound that’s professional and pristine. Furthermore, unlike most acoustic-electric guitars, Highway Series instruments work well with pedals! Who isn’t hungry for an acoustic-electric that puts yesterday’s performance hassles in the rearview mirror?

Mahogany tonewoods

The Fender Highway Series Parlor features a top, back, and sides made from mahogany. Mahogany’s warmth and mellow attack complement the parlor body shape and fingerstyle technique while keeping this guitar incredibly lightweight and maneuverable. Moreover, floating X-bracing inside the sound chamber amps up the volume and balances sound to perfection — proof that Fender and the Highway Series are committed to acoustic excellence.

Feedback-fighting properties

The Highway Series body shape borrows cues from Fender’s Acoustasonic hybrid series with comfortable thinline chambering and a beveled armrest. Like the Acoustasonic, the Highway Series handles onstage like a dream and naturally suppresses pesky feedback! Given its feedback-squashing attributes, the Highway Series can conjure stage volumes far greater than any old-school acoustic-electric guitar. And the best part? The thinline body plays nicely with effects, too! Try adding a touch of chorus or reverb for a bigger, bolder, acoustic sound.

Active Fishman electronics

Much like acclaimed Fishman Fluence electric guitar pickups, the exciting new Fluence Acoustic pickup lets players enjoy world-class acoustic-electric tone without noise or hum. Fluence Acoustic systems are uniquely optimized for the different Fender Highway Series body shapes. This all-analog pickup offers top-mounted controls for quick onstage adjustments without missing a beat. Still, the Fluence system’s exciting innovation is arguably the sound of its patented pickup curvature. Conventional bar-shaped pickups register string movements in a straight, uniform line across all six strings. In contrast, the Fluence Acoustic curvature has individually optimized pickup points for each string, thereby eliminating the stiff, boxy presence of conventional soundhole pickups for a richer, more compelling sound.

Tone-tweaking options

In addition to volume controls, the Fluence Acoustic system’s contour knob lets players make punchy EQ adjustments with two core voices and blendable nuances to explore. Voice 1 offers a more “natural” acoustic guitar sound with fuller bass and is the go-to sound for singer/songwriters. Voice 2 reigns in bass with more high-end clarity and midrange muscle. This tighter voice gels well with drums, bass guitar, and more with a mix-cutting sound (it’s also great for soloing or getting the best sound out of pedals).

Rugged features = fewer pitstops

Acoustic guitar woes can wreak havoc on tight schedules when traveling. Thankfully, the Fender Highway Series is designed to handle bumps and curves so you can make the most of your day, whether exploring new cities or finding precious warm-up time backstage. The Highway Series Parlor'sbolt-on mahogany neck is more resilient than traditional acoustic guitar necks and infinitely less prone to shifts caused by swings in humidity and temperature. Road warriors relish having that consistent feel from gig to gig, and everyone can appreciate the way this bolt-on neck puts more notes at your fingertips with additional upper-fret access. More music and less maintenance? That’s a win-win!
