Vintage Selmer Paris Wood Clarinet - Made in France

For sale is a beautiful vintage Henri Selmer Paris wood clarinet. The bell displays the "Henri Selmer Paris" logo, the text "Sole Agents US & Can.", "Selmer New York", and "Elkhart". On the back of the bell near the top is displayed "Made In France". The upper joint also displays the "Henri Selmer Paris" logo, the text "France" underneath, and text "Depose" (which I've read is the way French manufacturers indicated a registered patent). The lower joint also displays the "Henri Selmer Paris" logo.

The serial number (R9076) match on both upper and lower joints. The "R" leads us to believe it is an R series clarinet from 1959.

There are 2 stars above the serial number on the upperjoint indicating that the joint was repair by Selmer which aligns with the what we can see in the pictures on this joint. There are two rings that encompass the clarinet. The repair was done extremely well, as the rings are not raised but rather flush with the wood. The rings actually add to the uniqueness of this instrument and does not detract from it's beautiful aesthetic.

We have professionally cleaned, oiled, and adjusted this clarinet through our in-house repair shop. All corks and pads have been checked and repaired as needed. So much life left for this clarinet to show off! It plays beautifully and sounds amazing!

The wood is in wonderful shape. No knicks, scratches, or gouges to speak of. Its in better condition than you'd expect from a clarinet that is over 60 years old. This clarinet was cared for and when it needed a repair, it was done 100% correct.

Comes with generic "Antigua" hard case that will keep it safe in transit. Please feel free to replace the case once you get this clarinet (it deserves better).
