Tokai 5-Way “semi-step” switch. RARE! Late-70’s/early-80’s.
Tokai invented the “semi-step” 5-way switch while trying to remain faithful to the original 3-way switch. For those that haven’t experienced it, if you shift quickly though the 5 positions it lands on the 3 classic original positions, however by shifting just a little slower, then positions 2 and 4 become available! It was a unique and novel design and much loved by Tokai enthusiasts, as no other switch does this!
This switch is in good condition for around 50 years old! And comes with a black tip and 2 retaining screws. If you’re restoring an old Tokai then these old original parts are a must have! It's a tricky thing to price, but Fender Strat switches from this era run at about $150 in this condition, so I guess half that at $75 seems fair (especially as these are much rarer than a Fender 5-way!) And that includes free shipping.
Price includes FREE worldwide (7-14 days) airmailed delivery to your door. Thanks for looking and please see my other rare items for sale! Any questions please ask before you buy!
