White Instruments 4200A 28-Band L-C active EQ.
This is from the clean, non-smoking studio of the late great Ken Avant who took very good care of his gear. Recently used on his posthumously-released record "Whispers And Stories". Currently located in Austin, Texas; local pickup also ok.
From the White instruments website:
"The equalizer shall be an L-C active, cut-only, 28 band, one-third octave graphic equalizer. It shall feature twenty-eight one-third octave, single-pole pair filters on I.S.O. centers from 31.5Hz through 16kHz, each having an adjustment range from 0dB to –15dB, continuously, via rotary controls that are mounted on the front panel. The frequency center precision of the filters shall be within ±5% of standard I.S.O. one-third octave frequencies. In addition to the one-third octave filters the equalizer shall feature a 12dB per octave, continuously adjustable high-pass filter that can be set between 20Hz and 160Hz and a low-pass filter that can be set between 20kHz and 5kHz.The worst case noise performance of the unit with all filters being used shall be better than –90dBu referenced to 0.775 volts at unity gain. Distortion shall be less than 0.02% THD at +18dBu into 600 ohms. Both performance measurements are to be made at 20kHz bandwidth. The equalizer’s input shall be actively balanced with the option of adding a plug-in isolation transformer. It shall have at least three independent outputs that may be single-ended, but with the option of adding plug-in isolation transformers. In addition to the transformer sockets, the unit shall have a crossover socket that is capable of accepting a two-way or three-way low-level crossover network and inserting the frequency-divided signals before the outputs. Three level trimmers shall be provided to continuously adjust the input and outputs two and three levels between 0db and –20dB.The equalizer’s power supply shall be on-board. The unit shall operate on either 115vac or 230vac, 50Hz or 60Hz, selected by a switch on the rear panel. Input and output connections to the equalizer shall be made through screw-terminal or barrier strip connectors. The equalizer shall require no more than 3.5 inches (2RU) of vertical space in a standard 19 inch EIA rack. The unit shall be furnished with a matching metal or clear plastic security cover. The equalizer shall be a Model 4200A manufactured by White Instruments, Austin, Texas U.S.A."
