For sale is a very rare ESP LTD Explorer in Midnight Purple.
These guitars were sold in the late 90s by ESP before Gibson sued them over the Explorer shape and they were discontinued shortly thereafter.
This particular guitar is in good shape generally. All the dings and chips are showed in the photos. There are some scratches, chips, dings, etc. The guitar is approximately 26 years old and it’s been owned and played a ton.
It plays very well, although it needs a minor set-up. The Dunan Designed pickups are pretty good but if I were keeping the guitar, I would change them out.
The most noticeable wear is the pickup rings, which are broken. Again, I’d replace them if I was keeping the guitar. But they work fine.
The neck is thin and fast, the guitar stays in tune, and it’s the perfect budget Hetfield Explorer.
This finish is hard to come by and this is a very good example of why. It’s awesome.
