PRS "Floyd" Custom 24 - Dark Cherry Burst

Ever since Paul Reed Smith crashed the 1985 NAMM show with the Custom 24, this model has been the gold standard for players who demand versatility without sacrifice. This specific iteration takes that legendary DNA—the classic mahogany body and stunning maple top—and injects it with a shot of adrenaline. Whether you’re channeling the melodic precision of Carlos Santana or pushing the boundaries of modern rock, this guitar offers a rich, resonant foundation that has defined the PRS legacy for decades.

What sets this "Floyd" model apart is its unapologetic focus on high-performance playing. Outfitted with PRS \m/ (Metal) pickups, you get ceramic-powered aggression that stays clear under heavy gain but cleans up beautifully for those shimmering passages. The addition of the "Original" Floyd Rose tremolo system means you can dive-bomb and squeal to your heart's content while the locking nut ensures your tuning stays rock-solid. It’s the perfect marriage of Maryland craftsmanship and hair-raising performance.

For 2024, PRS has even obsessed over the tuners, introducing the new "Wing" buttons. Inspired by a 1982 design, these lightweight buttons aren't just for looks; by reducing the weight on the headstock, they allow the strings to vibrate more freely, giving you more sustain and a more musical ring. With its "Pattern Thin" maple neck and ebony fretboard, this Custom 24 is built for speed, tone, and the kind of reliability that only a Palen-approved PRS can provide.
