Excellent condition

A few minor dings on the back and side

Overall very clean except for the obligatory cigarette burn on the headstock

All original except for missing bridge cover and one replaced tuning machine.

The bass recently enjoyed the legendary Subway setup by our skilled trolls.

We are happy to report that the neck is straight, the action is low, we have it strung up with flatwounds, and you can expect a bass that plays great with no issues out of the box.

Made for only a short period of time, between 1966 & 1968, this one is in great shape for its age. Warm, rich tone & smooth, comfortable neck make the bass a real joy to play. Professionally set up by our luthier, so it plays & sounds fantastic!

Cosmetic Condition: Cool vintage vibe with typical wear for a nearly 60-year old bass. Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & weather checking. Overall the bass has a great look to it with a beautiful patina.

Neck: Slender profile maple neck with cream binding & black side-dots. Beautiful rosewood fingerboard with micro dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Oversize Mosrite tuners are in perfect working condition. NOTE- one tuner has been replaced

1 1/2" nut width with zero fret; 30 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is functioning.

Body: Double-bound, hollow maple body finished in bright red. Arched top with single, bound F-hole. Stop tailpiece with four-saddle adjustable bridge. NOTE- Missing the bridge cover

3-ply white pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Bass weighs 8 lbs 2.5 oz.

Pickups: Mosrite single coil bass pickups with black bezels. Master volume & tone controls with 3-way toggle switch. Pots date to '66. All electronics are in perfect working condition.

All hardware has some general minor wear and tarnish. The internal components remain original including the pickups and wiring harness with pots coded to the 5th week of 1966. The original very low frets are in excellent condition, with little wear; this bass appears to have mostly carried flatwound strings since the '60s. Currently it is fitted with a new set of flatwounds giving a true-vintage sound.

This bass is very easy to play and set up this way sounds plus-perfect 1960s.

Overall Excellent
