Gretsch - 14x5" Fred Gretsch, Custom Vin Yard Snare Drum, Signed by Fred Gretsch! 2006 - Yellow Finish, Black Hardware

In about 2005 Gretsch produced 50 one-of-a-kind snare drums at the Gretsch USA factory in Ridgeland, SC. They were called Vineyard snares. These snares feature shells plucked from the Gretsch vinyard collection and shells made from vintage plies that have been curing in their factory for decades. They also feature unique sizes and are dressed in special finishes and hardware. These truly are distinctively unique instruments that were destined to attract Gretsch collectors and aficionados everywhere and become modern Gretsch collectibles.

This Vineyard snare is an unused, 2006 Gretsch, 14x5" custom snare drum in Yellow lacquer with black hardware and 16 split lugs, signed by Fred Gretsch! The Yellow and Black color combination on a Gretsch drum will forever be associated with the legendary Tony Williams. Like all of the Vineyard snares, this drum is a unique, one of a kind instrument.

There's a substantial scratch in the yellow finish lacquer on the shell, near the but plate area. Otherwise this drum is in fantastic shape.

The drum was signed by Fred Gretsch to Dynamic Percussion in 2007. Dynamic Percussion in East Hartford, CT is one of the oldest continually operating drum stores in the US.
