BRAZILIAN!!!! MASTERBUILT!!!! SUPER COOL COLOR!!! ROASTED MAPLE NECK!!!! Im in heaven!!! This guitar was played for ~ a 1/2 hour only for testing purposes. It's been kept in its case!!! Perfect amount of aging!!! The back of neck is incredibly smooth!!! Plays and sounds fantastic!! The neat feature about this guitar is the bridge/middle pickup tone control acts as a blender adding in as much as the neck pickup as desired for a super fat lead tone!!! So it is possible to have all 3 pickups on at once and also the bridge/neck pickups on together!!! Nice slim to fuller "C" neck!! Super dark Brazilian board!!! TONE!! TONE!!! and more TONE!!! All case candy!!! Original hard case is mint also!!! Every player/collector needs one of these!!! Great investment piece!!!

A Masterbuilt Take on the ’64 Strat
Fresh from the acclaimed Fender Custom Shop, the Masterbuilt Fat '64 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic re-creates one of Fender’s most popular and collectible models of the 1960s. This Masterbuilt was crafted by Andy Hicks, one of the latest additions to the Custom Shop Master Builders team. Andy captures '64 Strat down to the last detail with its 2-piece alder body, "C" profile neck, vintage hardware, and a rare exclusive fingerboard made from Brazilian rosewood. Powering this guitar’s tone are three hand-wound Fat '60s pickups, that delivers warm vintage output with enhanced bass for a slight modern edge. This Strat features Fender’s Journeyman Relic nitrocellulose finish. The Journeyman finish gives this limited edition a well-preserved feel with minor signs of wear as if it were played, but immaculately maintained and passed down from generation to generation.
Painstaking vintage accuracy with Brazilian rosewood
With genuine 1960s Fender instruments fetching exorbitant prices nowadays, they're out of most players’ price range. Thankfully, Fender Custom Shop re-creations such as the Masterbuilt Fat '64 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic provide access to vintage titans of tone via exhaustive Fender analysis. You’ll find the Masterbuilt Fat '64 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic remarkably faithful to the original. Its classic 2-piece alder body has the extra heft and shallow contours of the original '64 Strat for a vintage feel that was slightly fuller and more robust than models that came before and after. This guitar’s crown jewel is a period-accurate Brazilian rosewood fingerboard which have become super rare due to harvest restrictions. But Fender still has their hands on select Brazilian rosewood cuts. Pair that with an authentic '64 "C" profile roasted maple neck that’s fast yet full, and you have the perfect recipe for vintage tone and playability.
Hot hand-wound vintage pickups
A trio of onboard Fat '60s Pickups provide warm, balanced vintage tone. These pickups look and sound period correct with over-wound construction and alnico II magnets. The middle pickup is reverse wound, a period-accurate innovation that helped eliminate hum for clearer, crisper tone. Fat '60s deliver crisp articulation with warm, full expression and a touch of extra low-end punch for a slight modern twist on these classic tones. Plus, these pickups were built with period-correct cloth wire and fiber bobbin, proof of Fender's immaculate attention to detail. On the control side, there’s also the added perk of half-blend wiring. With half-blend, you can blend the neck pickup with the middle and bridge for a thicker, richer sound that’s perfect for leads and chord work.
