From the collection of Bob Glaub, famed session bass player for Bob Dylan, Ringo Starr, Jackson Browne and many, many others. Beautiful Beatle bass from 1967. Body shows some play wear with various chips and dings throughout. Some heavy finish checking present that runs long up and down body. Back shows some finish checking as well as some more dings. Finish has cracked off around where the pick guard screw would have been, pick guard not included. Pickups have been replaced with newer Hofner pickups made in Germany, originals have been rewound and are included in orignal case. Mystery holes around original pickup surrounds have been filled and touched up. Great playing action with some relief in the neck currently. Original frets show moderate wear primarily at first position. "MADE IN WEST GERMANY" very lightly stamped into back of headstock, almost impossible to see unless in the right lighting. Serial number sticker not present.
