Silvertone by Danelectro Model 1304 Wishbook 1960 Brown Masonite

Today, Lawman Guitars is Presenting...

An awesome 1960 Silvertone 1304 Wishbook U1 Guitar..  Its in great shape for its age...the frets are still in wonderful shape..see pics...It has dings and scratches but nothing but cosmetic issues.

These guitars were called the Wishbook Guitars because they were featured in the Sears Christmas or Wishbook Catalogs. Made by Danelectro in 1968 thru 1960 but were still available in 1961. I am calling this one a 1960 but no indications to show which year it was made.

All I had to do to this one is clean it up a little. The setup is great and we put new 10 guarge strings on it.... Great low action on this one... The Danelectro Lipstick Pickup sound awesome in this guitar. Very strong and commanding...

All original parts to include Danelectro Masonite Body, Bridge Tailpiece, Lipstick Pickup, knobs and aluminum nut. Original Waverly Open Back tuners as well.

Heres some info I found on the net regarding these cool guitars.

The 1304 series of guitars were only offered in the Sears 'Wish Book' catalog, and sold very well, if today's collectors market is any indication. These mid-pickup'd guitars were an interesting 'hybrid', attempting to strike a balance between the lead position and closer-to-the-neck rhythm slot. This pickup placement was unique in the 'U' body series family, and retained the 'coke bottle' shaped headstock even as the 'dolphin nose' U-shaped 14XX series were offered.

Sold as-is no returns as its vintage and used but note that I have been hand-picking vintage guitars for my customers for over 15 years now. All have loved them and this one will not be an exception. Check my Feedback.
