A fully functional, very early (perhaps the earliest) multi-effects unit. “How bizarre…” is the first thing we said. It’s pretty logically laid out – simply follow the colors. The red switches (controlled by the knobs on the red panel with volume and tone are percussion and you can trigger of five fixed-pitch percussion sounds by hitting a string. Any single sound, any mix,or all at once…bizarre. The blue and white switches, including “string bass” and “fuzz bass” as well as three “color tones” are controlled by the blue panel with volume and sustain knobs. The yellow (okay, mustard-yellow) is labeled “natural amp”…indeed it with volume and tone controls on the (mustard-) yellow panel. The the big “cancel” button mechanically resets any and all depressed switches. Better for recording than live. But it’s clean and if you want to build a guitar effects museum, you need this. All knobs and switches work, consigned.
