1988 Gibson ES-335 Showcase Edition! With original EMG pickups, Grover tuners and OHSC.
Some dings to the finish and near binding and seams. Light pitting on some frets but not affecting playability.
In 1988, Gibson released the limited-run ES-335 Showcase Edition, with only 200 units produced. This model features a distinctive white nitrocellulose finish, black hardware, and active EMG pickups, setting it apart from standard ES-335 models.
Body and Neck
- Body: Semi-hollow laminated maple construction with dual f-holes and cream binding.
- Neck: Mahogany neck with a bound rosewood fingerboard, 22 frets, and pearl dot inlays.
Pickups and Electronics
- Pickups: Factory-installed active EMG humbuckers, known for their high output and clarity.
- Controls: Two volume knobs, two tone knobs, and a three-way toggle switch.
Hardware
- Bridge: Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge paired with a stopbar tailpiece.
- Tuners: Grover tuning machines.
- Hardware Finish: Black.
