Own a very rare piece of PRS history from the very first appearance of the Custom 24-08 model launched at the 2016 Experience PRS event.

This beautiful carved figured maple 10 Top guitar is 1 of only 10 guitars in this colour, 1 of only 50 made for this launch event. The Custom 24-08 is now an iconic PRS guitar with unmatched versatility. This example is stunning in every way, from the incredible flame of the carved figured 10 Top and green abalone bird inlays in the fretboard to the Gaboon Ebony fretboard and headstock veneer including the "pre-factory" small eagle inlay. Even the black paisley hard case is remarkable.

The guitar and case are both in Excellent condition. No scratches, buckle rash or dings on the guitar with one exception of a tiny bit of chipped varnish on the bottom edge (see photo) which isn't visible unless you get close up. Both guitar and case have been extremely well cared for and the guitar is an absolute pleasure to play at a comfortable weight of 3.46kg.

Note that I have replaced the original amber lampshade knobs with the official PRS clear equivalents. The originals are included in the case and I have shown a comparison on some of the photos. Also includes the original hang tags.

Feel free to send me a message if you would like any further information or photos of the guitar.

Thanks for looking.

Specially appointed to commemorate the 2016 Experience PRS event, the Experience PRS 2016 Custom 24-08 adds a new control layout to this classic model. The Experience PRS 2016 Custom 24-08 features a 3-way blade switch and two mini-toggle coil split switches. This simple and intuitive switching system, also featured on the PRS 408 model, allows for eight distinct pickup combinations that offer players additional tonal possibilities. The 85/15 Multi-Tap pickups, paired with this control layout, provide a full array of humbucker tones and single-coil sounds unlike any other PRS.

Special appointments include a Gaboon Ebony fretboard with “old school” green abalone bird inlays and a Gaboon Ebony headstock veneer with a “pre-factory” small eagle inlay (uniquely featured on Experience PRS limited runs). The Experience PRS 2016 Custom 24-08 is officially offered in five finish options: Aquamarine, Charcoal, Copperhead Burst, Trampas Green, and Slate Blue. Only 50 instruments will be available worldwide.
