This is a NOS Rickenbacker pickguard from the 60s/70s for a 450 guitar. It's got a chip in the neck pickup rout where the pickup screw would be placed. A pickup will stay in the slot fine if a small washer is used to hold it in place.
I toyed with the idea of using an epoxy to rebuild the missing area, but never got around to it.
In any case, the original plastic was never removed from the front of this pick guard, so it'll be minty-fresh when it's removed aside from the crack.
