DESCRIPTION

The Victory V1 The Duchess overdrive pedal brings the iconic sound of Victory’s V40 Duchess amplifier directly to your pedalboard. Designed in collaboration with Adrian Thorpe of ThorpyFX, the Victory V1 The Duchess pedal delivers the essence of vintage American amplifier tones with a touch of British ingenuity.

From pristine cleans to rich overdrive, the V1 The Duchess captures the glassy highs and warm lows reminiscent of classic '60s amplifiers. Its core tone is versatile, offering a gentle sparkle for rhythm work or a dynamic crunch that’s perfect for blues and rock solos. Push the gain higher, and you’ll uncover bold, saturated tones with impressive sustain, ideal for adding depth and power to your sound.

Playing through the Victory Amps V1 The Duchess feels inspiring and immediate. The pedal responds to every nuance of your playing, allowing you to explore a wide tonal range with a simple twist of its intuitive controls. It integrates flawlessly into any setup, whether you're enhancing your amp’s clean channel or driving it into overdrive.

The Victory V1 The Duchess overdrive pedal features dedicated bass, middle, and treble controls, giving you precise command over your sound. These EQ options aren’t just for subtle tweaks; they actively shape the character of your tone, making it easy to dial in everything from scooped mids for modern rock to mid forward grit for classic leads. The volume and gain knobs interact beautifully, offering everything from a transparent boost to dynamic, aggressive overdrive.

Internally, the Victory V1 The Duchess faithfully replicates the signal path of the Duchess amp, complete with all the gain stages and clipping points that define its character. An internal bright switch allows fine tuning of the gain control’s response for smoother, low gain settings.

The all metal enclosure ensures road ready durability, while the clean, cream coloured graphics are as stylish as they are functional. The pedal’s compact design and top mounted jacks make it pedalboard friendly, while the stylish retro jewel amp LED indicator ensures visibility on even the darkest stages. A true bypass circuit preserves your tone when the pedal is off, maintaining signal integrity across your chain.

Handbuilt in the U.K., the Victory V1 The Duchess represents a collaboration of British engineering and tonal mastery. Whether you’re chasing shimmering cleans, edge of breakup tones, or full on American style overdrive, this pedal is a reliable companion for any musical setting.
