Whats new?

This is an updated circuit design and now enhanced with an all metal spinner. The circuit has been custom engineered to each individual spinners needs to ensure the best signal compared to the previous v1.0 design. Each unit is hand made and calibrated with extensive testing. There is also a new balancing system for each spinner ensuring the smoothest spin for the longest time possible. The bearings have been upgraded as well. Much longer spin time. Different response compared to previous models.

What does this actually do?

This is essentially a manual LFO, which spins down organically over time.  Our analog circuit responds differently than similar designs you might have seen which use distance sensors or light sensors to trigger a pulse.   The CV input is powered with a vactrol-controlled attenuator.  It can go into audio rate for modulation with gritty FM style tones depending on how hard you spin the spinner. Ours also has a buffer meaning it is not passive to ensure the strongest signal for all modules to better interact with each other. We tried several revisions that were passive and they never responded as musically with other modules. This is one of the other things the Noodle Spinner v1.5 provides that others do not.

This current build is entirely custom, all through-hole, and each one has been hand-wired. We have tested each unit carefully to ensure the highest quality during the calibration process.
