This guitar comes with its original case, is all original with no modifications, and is in good overall condition, especially for its age. It's a fantastic player that holds its own against Les Pauls, with build quality likely surpassing most Gibbies from that era.
It has a great look, a comfortable weight, and excellent tuning stability. The action is very low, making it a joy to play. The neck has a good thickness, feels fast, and offers great access to the upper frets thanks to the double cutaway.
The pickups sound excellent both clean and in overdrive, covering a wide range from warm jazz tones to aggressive hard rock bite. The push/push pots for coil-splitting add immense tonal versatility and, allowing even for Telecaster-like twangy tones, make this guitar far more versatile than a typical Les Paul.
The beautiful trans-green front is almost immaculate, frets are excellent, the neck is clean. There is no buckle rash, just a few minor scratches and dings on the rear, along with some guitar stand scuffs and dings on the edge of the body. There is a small chip on the headstock and a minor scratch and ding on the neck (not through the paint). The hardware shows very slight pitting.
