Aria 6841 Gibson J-200 Artist Copy. Japan. 70's...

I am selling my early Seventies Aria 6841 J-200 Artist "Lawsuit" Jumbo Accoustic with Non Original Brand New Hardshell Case ..Sunburst..Lovely Condition.

CUSTOM EDITION "Copy of a Gibson J200 Artist with fitted ChromaCast case.

These beauties are very rare especially in this condition.

I quote.... "Japanese Aria guitars from this era were well known for their very accurate following of the details sticking to the original American Classic design and they used the best woods available and very talented Luthiers to produce some vintage works of art like this example".

Rosewood Fretboard, Ebony Bridge, Bone nut and saddle, the guitar has been beautifully looked after and is set up with brand new string and a low action.

It doesn’t need a Neck Reset.

It's got the big Mother of Pearl crown fretmarkers and the Mother of Pearl inlay on the bridge too. It's a beautifully made guitar all round with scalloped braces and bound body and a very nice inlay down the back and neck and the headstock is also bound. The headstock has the Aria Logo inlaid in Mother of Pearl. There is a discoloration of the finish on the headstock due to his 50 years old, sorry about that!!!

The top is spruce and the sides area gorgeous maple, it's even got the flowers on the pickguard in perfect condition! The action is fine and can be lowered even more if wanted. Machine heads work smoothly and keep it in tune nicely. This Aria, as far as I can tell, is made by Master Luthier at the Matsumoku Company in Japan in the early 70’s. A very rare survivor of that era.
