Ampex 622 Speaker Amplifier , highly desirable to both Ampex and guitar amp gurus,, Originally these were the power amp companion to the ampex 600 and 602 series reel to reel tape recorders,,
They came out in 1958 . EF86 preamp, 12 AU7 phase splitter and 6v6 based PP power amp , is remarkably well built, all original with Amperex class, beefy transformers, mono rca input, and the speaker is the original D260 JBL 8 speaker ,built by James B Lansing himself , as the two companys collaborated on these, result is a very well balanced sound.
