Chris Carrington is a Texas-based luthier and musician who works out of Rockwell, Texas. Guitar 384 is into the shop on consignment and is a powerful and exquisite sounding nylon string instrument. Completed in March of 2023, it has a 640mm scale, 53mm nut, 57mm saddle spacing and comes with the pictured hard shell case.
The top is Engleman Spruce. The back and sides are pale moon ebony. Top is lattice braced. Back is a satin finish while the top and sides are gloss. Equipped with a sound port on the bass side of the upper bout, the guitar provides the player with a pleasing monitor of the sound the audience receives. Looking through the sound port toward the lower bout of the instrument it is notable how translucent the top proves to be -- it is a light and lively specimen.
There are minimal flaws or play wear. The most notable thing a buyer will notice is a repaired crack on the treble side waist; however, it should be noted that is a repair that Carrington made to the instrument prior to its delivery to the original owner. Thoughtfully handled, it is nearly unnoticeable from the exterior of the instrument. The soundboard shows some play wear and minor blemishes.
Hard shell case is included. Given the delicate nature of the instrument, we are selling this one "As Described" so as to avoid tire kicking.
