32 channel Dream Yamaha Pm-1000

Amazing 32 Channel console with every upgrade done to it you can imagine. i purchased from browner sound about 3 years ago. Everything works great except most led VU meters don’t light up. I can send you records I’ve done on this console

This is the ultimate, dream PM1000.

Every possible upgrade to achieve a Neve-like sound has been performed. This is undoubtedly the closest to a Neve console that the Yamaha PM1000 could ever get. This console was meticulously worked on and upgraded for over a year by a professional team at Browner Sound Custom Shop in Miami, Florida. It was the centerpiece of our studio and showroom, being used to record and mix several bands in South Florida (message us directly for the SoundCloud profile link which includes several examples). It was truly a labor of love by some of the most gear-obsessed minds. The upgrades are too many to list, but here are some highlights:

• Each of the 32 channels have been upgraded to Neve EQ's using only the best Panasonic EEU capacitors, WIMA polypropylene film capacitors, polystyrene capacitors, Ohmite resistors and Bourns inductors. This takes a tech many hours to do.
• Channels 1 - 24:
• have had their output sections upgraded for higher current capacity
• have a gain boost added to increase output
• added direct outs through authentic Carnhill

VTB2281 output transformers (actual Neve transformers) - stock PM-1000's only offer the four summed outputs through the Master faders. If you want each channel to have a direct output for recording to a DAW, a tech must wire this up. This is a not an inexpensive job.

• balanced channel direct outs terminate on DB25
• Cue on all 32 channels have been converted to mute for mixing

Cosmetically, it is in excellent condition. All channel faceplates are legible and unfaded and all channel number-plates are also included. Original rosewood siding is in good condition.

Additional modifications:

• All faders have been individually cleaned and re-lubricated
• All pots have been cleaned and lubricated
• Upgraded to an overpowered linear external custom power supply for low noise and plenty of current capability
• All VU bulbs have been changed for LED's in the original shade

All channels and masters have been calibrated to +4dB and lowest noise and THD (total harmonic distortion). All inputs and outputs are balanced. With the exception of the headphone output, this console is good to go!
