Product details:
Great Seattle lore surrounds this bass. It was originally purchased as a private party sale roughly 20 years ago as an all original Gibson 1976 Thunderbird, which it was. However, when the buyer brought to our old shop for a set up, the neck was pretty twisted. He tried contacting the seller who totally ghosted him and basically made off with a wad of ill-gotten cash. The buyer, of course, was rather bent, but decided to go the distance with a complete overhaul courtesy of Mike Lull. Turns out the original neck had been broken in a few spots, hastily repaired and painted, and the truss rod was mangled. Mike suggested doing an Entwistle style Fenderbird conversion and that's what you see here. The body was refinished in a Buck Owens style red, silver, and blue metalflake finish. Everything on this bass is original except the neck and the finish. Original pots, pickups, bridge, knobs, etc...Includes a Gibson factory T-Bird case, although it's not the original.
