This Fire Burst beauty was inspired by the bursts from the early to mid 60s with fiery tomato red edges melding softly into the warm honey-blond center. This stunning look is enhanced with a warm brown tortoise shell custom pickguard … all combining to create a truely unique vintage statement. Driving the sonic profile of this simple and elegant design is our single bridge ‘foil-top’ humbucker. Housed in a vintage open-face hi/lo filtertron brushed casing, this pickup generates a warmer rounded high end, articulate mids, and tight lows. When played clean it has the all the clarity you would want and when pushed into overdrive, it produces an aggressive but smooth mid-focused character. This guitar is ideal for those who want to blend classic visual appeal with a modern, multidimensional sound.

All our Sonic Angel guitars come with vintage style locking tuners … providing easy string change ups, eliminating looseness and reducing backlash for improved tuning stability.

Our custom-made Filtertron spec ash tray bridge captures the vintage look of the original TStyle guitars. With the classic three brass saddle design, this bridge provides ample stability and sustain.

Our neck pocket and neck heel have a tapered finish to allow smooth and easy access to the upper register of the neck. This feature, along with body and arm contours, create the ultimate in comfort and ease of performance.

The Sonic Angel Hot-Tron was born out of our desire to design a pickup that retained the classic twang and jangle associated with vintage Filtertrons but also added the beefier sonic character reminiscent of the classic P.A.F. style humbucker. This the ultimate choice in pickup if you desire the best features of both a traditional single coil and a full-bodied humbucker … all without the 60-cycle hum.
