For your consideration is my rca 77-d microphone. This is the D model as opposed to the DX. I had this mic re-ribboned by ENAK a number of years ago, and have always made every effort to store it in a way to preserve the integrity of the element. The mic is hard wired to a standard 3 pin cannon brand XLR connector. The rubber on this wire is slightly cracked, but it has never affected the functionality of this mic. It sounds great for its age, despite its cosmetic flaws. An important thing to note is that the thread on the yoke does not fit a standard european style mic stand adapter. The threads themself don't appear to be cross-threaded, i think it might just be an unconventional size. In an effort to mitigate this issue, I have always rested the yoke on the post of a european thread mic stand, and then wrapped a sufficient enough amount of painter's tape around the yoke and stand post until it was solid. Maybe you have a better workaround, or maybe they make a specific adapter for this thread size, but that is what i have done to great success. Please feel free to ask me any questions before purchasing. Free shipping to the 48 states, no returns.
