1940s super rare Stromberg Carlson 12A Ribbon Microphone Shure Turner 101
Check out this latest consignment we accepted. We had to dive deep to find out more about this extremely rare microphone. Made in the 1940s. This Stromberg Carlson Model 12A Ribbon microphone with low serial number also has a Shure Brothers decal who after WWII began producing microphones for Stromberg. We opened it up so you can see exactly what your purchasing. One top screw is stripped so we didn't tighten it. There's an interesting thumb/spring activated button attachment that has to be depressed turn the microphone on. The case shows signs of scratches and wear from age. Looks similar to the Turner 101. Whens the next time you'll find one of these surface for sale? We couldn't find any! If your a collector of rare microphones. This one might be your only opportunity!
