Greetings and thank you for your interest in this listing for a stunning U.S.A. made, Fender ’57 American Vintage Reissue Stratocaster guitar!

First of all, this Strat plays like butter and sounds amazing ! Yes, I know everyone says his guitar sounds so good but it is equally true that 90 percent of the time when you get it and play it, you remain disappointed. I put my face on it: I encourage you to come and see it and play it in person because I well know how good this '57 sounds!

This is a guitar that has played a lot as all instruments that really “play”; it is in excellent condition, not immaculate, but still very, very well cared for.

When I got it, there were traces of a clear lacquer on both the body and the neck; it took patience and time to completely remove that lacquer and restore the beautiful original finish to its original condition.

Under the pickguard the three pickups are wired to three much more recent (2007) CTS pots and the 5-way switch. The original capacitor has also been replaced with a very expensive ‘Brown Chiclet’ (Cornell Dubilier "chicklet" vintage PIO capacitor reproduction) 20.00 euro oil paper capacitor!!!  The final result is phenomenal!

The search by serial number gives back a two-tone sunburst AVRI '57 and not a black one. Fender's mistakes and approximations on serial numbers are both famous and well documented. Most likely, this is a mistake or, over the years, the body or neck has been replaced with others, clearly original.

Comes with the pictured Fender hard case which is in pristine shape, the original tremolo  bar, a Fender Strap, and some case candy including 2 original springs, the Fender tremolo arm tension spring and a new Fender owner's manual.

Questa è una gran bella chitarra, una vera AVRI ‘57 americana della fine degli anni '90/primi 2000. E' in condizioni eccezionali, nonostante il quarto di secolo che ha sulle spalle e suona M E R A V I G L I O S A M E N T E ! ! !

E' vero che tutti scrivono che il loro strumento suona così bene ma è altrettanto vero che il 90% delle volte ci si rimane delusi. Io vi invito a venire a vederla e provarla di persona perché so bene quanto suona questa '57. Ci metto la faccia e se non è così vi autorizzo a darmi pubblicamente del ciarlatano !

E' una Stratocaster che ha suonato molto come tutti gli strumenti che "suonano"; è in eccellenti condizioni, non immacolata, ma comunque molto, ma molto ben tenuta.

Da notare che il seriale riporta ad una due toni sunburst ma gli errori e le approssimazioni di Fender sui numeri seriali sono numerosi e ben noti. E' molto probabile che si tratti, quindi, di un errore oppure che, negli anni, sia stato sostituito il corpo o il manico con altri, chiaramente originali.

Quando la presi, sia sul corpo che sul manico, c'erano tracce di una vernice trasparente che era stata passata sopra; con pazienza e tempo ho rimosso completamente quello strato e riportato alla luce la bellissima finitura originale.

Il dorso del manico è in condizioni più che ECCELLENTI. Liscio, velocissimo e dritto come una freccia. I tasti sono stati rifatti da un precedente proprietario e stanno indubbiamente molto bene. Il truss rod funziona alla perfezione.

All’interno del corpo i tre pickups sono cablati a tre potenziometri CTS di epoca più recente (esattamente del 2007) e allo switch a 5 vie. Anche il condensatore originale è stato sostituito ma con qualcosa di enormemente migliore: un "Brown Chiclet", riproduzione del Cornell Dubilier ‘chicklet’ in carta olio che costa ben 20,00 euro!!!

Beh, detto questo non potete che aspettarvi un chitarrone ed infatti e senza alcun dubbio, lo è !

E’ inclusa la custodia rigida Fender in foto, la cinta Fender, le due molle supplementari, la leva del tremolo originale, la molletta da inserire sotto la leva, del materiale cartaceo originale Fender, il manuale Fender di epoca recente ed il settaggio professionale eseguito da un  noto laboratorio di liuteria della capitale.
