A very cool and rather unique Custom Shop Strat with a great mix of vintage feel and modern versatility. The Sparkle Red finish gives this guitar a real stage presence without being over the top, while the lightly aged Relic treatment keeps it tasteful and authentic-looking.
This one features a comfortable light V-shaped maple neck that feels broken-in and effortless to play. The guitar has been professionally refretted in the past and plays extremely well with clean action and excellent overall feel.
The original Fender Custom Shop HBS-1 platform has been upgraded with a Kloppmann HSS 60s/58s aged white zebra pickup set (invoice included). The guitar also received Cryo Tuning treatment and features a push/pull Super Switch integrated into the volume control for additional humbucker splitting options, making it an exceptionally versatile Strat for both studio and live use.
Tonally, this guitar covers a lot of ground:
- classic Strat neck and middle tones
- punchy bridge humbucker sounds
- convincing split-coil textures
- excellent dynamic response and clarity throughout
The finish shows tasteful aging and honest playwear, including some larger wear spots on the back, while still presenting very well overall. The maple fretboard has developed a beautiful played-in look over the years.
