DD30 Dookie Drive Pedal 30th Anniversary Overdrive Effects Pedal
The MXR DD30 Dookie Drive Pedal 30th Anniversary overdrive pedal is a tribute to the unmistakable sound of Green Day's groundbreaking album, Dookie. Released to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the album's debut, this special-edition pedal features a striking new finish and captures the gritty, punchy overdrive tones that defined Billie Joe Armstrong's legendary guitar sound.
Dual-Amp Setup in a Pedal
The DD30 Dookie Drive pedal accurately recreates the dual-amp setup that Billie Joe used to achieve his signature Dookie tone. It combines a high-gain circuit with a crunch gain circuit, each with its own dedicated controls, allowing you to dial in the perfect balance of grit and articulation. The Blend knob lets you mix the two circuits together, just like Green Day did in the studio, providing endless possibilities for overdriven sounds.
Meticulously Crafted to Recreate a Legendary Sound
MXR's engineers meticulously analyzed and rebuilt the heavily modified amps used on Dookie to ensure the pedal delivers the same harmonic richness and depth that made those riffs iconic. From biting articulation to fat, overdriven chords, the Dookie Drive provides a versatile range of tones, ideal for Green Day fans and guitarists of all styles. Engage the Scoop switch for extra midrange scoop and further tailor your tone.
This special-edition Dookie Drive features an all-new finish to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Dookie's monumental release in 1994. Whether you're a die-hard fan or just looking for a unique overdrive pedal, the MXR Dookie Drive is designed to take your tone to the next level.
