Totally handmade custom 5 string violin. Strung CGDAE. So lower 4 strings are viola pitch. Upper four violin pitch.
I talked with luthier Tucker Barrett. Violin designed to be a 5 string from the ground up. His goal was to make a very sweet, natural sounding violin.
He succeeded!
In addition to a very beautiful, natural sound, it also drives a distortion box really well for a much more aggressive, modern sounding tone. Uses the coveted Barbera pickup system.
Also includes the custom case with hydrometer specifically made for this violin and a carbon fiber bow.
