Moon is one of the most highly-regarded guitar brands in Japan. Their early history is intertwined with ESP, and they only produce instruments of the finest quality. I highly suggest looking into them if you're not already aware. These early guitars were produced in limited numbers and were only sold within Japan, making them very rare in the USA.

This is a professional instrument from the golden age of Japanese guitar manufacturing. It is fantastic to play. The frets show almost no visible wear and are smooth and shiny. The EMG pickups provide traditional Strat tones with added output and clarity. The action is comfortable; the neck is straight; and the electronics are fully functional.

This guitar seems to have been played very little and has most likely spent the majority of its life in a case. I see no visible wear on the fretboard, and I can't find an actual ding anywhere on the body, which is incredible for a guitar of this age. There is some surface scratching and light playwear, but nothing on the body I would classify as damage. There are some small nicks on the tip of the headstock.

A cosmetic issue that should already be apparent is that the brass hardware, as well as the mirror pickguard, are tarnished and show their age. My initial impulse was to polish the brass and replace the pickguard, but my friends at the local guitar shop convinced me otherwise. I understand many people appreciate the aged look on a vintage guitar, so this example is being offered as is. Please view all images, as they are part of the listing and do a good job of representing the overall condition.

Guitar weighs 4.66 kg, or 10.2 pounds. The metal pickguard and backplate are pretty heavy, so swapping these for plastic would help reduce weight for those so inclined.
