1975-76 very rare Roland AP-2 Phase Shifter in good working condition. Some holes drilled through the back plate but not sure why. The inside all looks correct and the sound is thick, warm and lush.
Roland, established in 1972, launched the AP-2 Phase II in 1975. The AP-2 along with a couple of siblings formed a small line-up of effects pedals to bear the Roland name until the company decided to use the new Boss brand name for their effects pedals from 1976 onwards.
This vintage phaser has controls for "Rate" and "Resonance" to manipulate both the amount of phase, and the shape of the sine wave, yielding a huge array of smooth phase shifter/Leslie-inspired tones.
