☆Vintage 1960s Aiwa VM-13 Ribbon Microphone - VM-15 Mini RCA 77 Clone
For sale is a beautiful Aiwa VM-13, which features a smaller form factor compared to the Aiwa VM-15 and is much smaller beside an RCA 77. This small ribbon microphone is well-built, possessing a big sound for such a small microphone, and it looks great in use or on display. The one you are looking at has the original ribbon which still sounds full and both the grille alongside the cloth is in excellent shape!
The transformer in this VM-13 is 600 ohms, and this model did also come in a higher impedance variant, which is not the one you want. The wear on this microphone is extremely minimal, and this microphone has a 3 ft cable that ends in XLR male, so using it with modern interfaces is a breeze. I will also be including a stand adapter that can also be used with RCA microphones you may have or pick up in the future. If you want to try a VM-13 or a Japanese ribbon, this would be a respectable choice!
