Offering a gorgeous 1940's SHURE 708 Stratoliner Crystal Microphone, hailed by Shure as "one of the sharpest looking and good sounding general purpose microphones of the mid-20th century"! There was a lot of mic design experimentation going on at that time; designs based on car grills, rockets, searchlights, skyscrapers, and even this one...nicknamed the "Zeppelin", for it's resemblance to the awesome blimp/airships of the era.

This one is in excellent restored condition, with sharp red pinstriping. The Shure ID badge is a bit faded from handling, but this mic has it's original factory crystal element delivering clear audio with good output. (Crystal elements typically favor dominant mid-range with bass roll-off.) Ask for a voice sample recorded on this microphone. The pivot joint holds the tilt angle firmly in place and the mic stand threads are undamaged. This sale includes a new 2' plug-in Amphenol connector cable with 1/4" male phono plug, or we can wire it to a male XLR plug if you prefer. Includes the desk stand, with an overall height of 10". ** Always safe secure packaging and fast fair shipping.
