Hi there, and thanks for looking!
I'm selling my 1982 USA-made "Fiesta Red" Fender Bullet S-3. The USA-made Fender Bullet S-3's are very rare, as they were only produced in the USA for a year before Fender moved the production to Japan in 1983. They were ultimately designed as a student guitar, but still had all of the classic Fender appointments.
This guitar features:
-Fiesta Red body
-Hardtail bridge
-One-piece thin maple neck
-Six on a side original Fender tuning pegs
-individual Volume and Tone knobs
-Three stock Fender single coil pickups
The five-way switch was removed at one point in the guitar's life and replaced with a much more versatile switching system that includes an on/off switch for each pickup, a series switch, and a phase reversal switch. These switches open up an entire new world of pickup combinations and sounds that were previously not possible with the original five-way switch, making it a phenomenal studio tool.
The guitar does have a few very light dings and surface scratches, and the pickguard is cracked around the output jack. I recommend buying an aftermarket pickguard, which are available online for between $30-$35. That aside, the neck and body are in phenomenal playing shape. I would recommend a light setup, though, as the action could stand to be a little bit lower.
Vintage USA-Made Fenders are always creeping up in value due to their collectibility, but ultimately, this is a player's guitar, and an incredible sounding one at that.
A hard case will not be included in the sale, but I will include a padded gig bag with the guitar.
Let me know if you have any questions - thanks so much!
