Musicman started as Leo Fender's second brand and captivated many musicians with its innovative designs.

Louis Johnson, Flea, and many other artists loved Musicman basses.

Musicman was later acquired by Ernieball and is now known as Ernieball Musicman.

The flagship model of the company is the Stingray, but the Sabre, which followed, was equally well received.

This is a Sabre Bass manufactured in 1991.

The body is made of Ash, but it is difficult to judge.

The neck is Birdseye Maple and the fingerboard is Rosewood.

There are stamps “JUL 12 1990” on the neck end and “MAY 01 1991” on the neck pocket.

From this point, we judge that it was made in 1991.

Please understand that the neck and body may be separate pieces.

3. bridge PU (humbucker) 4. neck PU (humbucker)

4. neck PU (single) + bridge PU (humbucker) 5. neck PU (humbucker)

5. neck PU (single)

Many of the sponge mutes have been ruined, but this one works fine.

The playing feel has the tantalizing nuance of an old instrument.

The output from the powerful electronics is massive and speedy.

You can feel the vintage Musicman character.
