Gibson Les Paul Custom 1979 maple fretboard fretless wonder Black gold

Selling this beautiful 1979 Les Paul Custom with rare maple fretboard, the fretless wonder!!

 Based on the serial number this one was made at the Kalamazoo facility on May 15th, 1979.  It obviously stands out because of the maple board. I’ve always been fascinated by these late 70s customs with the maple fretboards. So even though I don’t play Les Pauls (sorry I’m a strat guy) I just had to have this guitar as it just looks so cool. I think the light color of the fretboard contrasting with the deep gloss black finish really sits it off.
 I'm listing this as 'Good' condition as she definitely has some wear on her but that just adds to the mojo If you ask me. And as you can see a prior owner has sanded the back of the neck down nice and smooth to the maple.

It Has been displayed on my guitar wall ever since I bought it, and I’ll often daydream of where it’s been and what’s it’s seen, hopefully it was on some world tours!

Pickups and pots are original, pot codes date to 1978. If you're looking for a LP Custom with something a little different then definitely give this one a shot.  I removed the original black pick guard when I got it but it will be included in the case.  Also includes the original Gibson Chainsaw case as well for some added mojo!
