The Phoenix Double Bell Trumpet is a great playing, fun and unique horn! Our custom design is very popular with Jazz artists. Our latest generation of horn is built with different materials to optimize sound quality and playability. With a finely tune copper lead-pipe and and different metal types for each bell. the TR-DB1 create a tone difference when switching between bells. The bottom (standard placement) bell is Gold Brass and the upper bell is Yellow Brass.

Also, commonly our players will put a Mute in one bell for a stark contrast in sound. Or, they will take a Digital Mute system and put in one bell and run it through effects processors. It is so much fun to play a duet with yourself. It only takes a few minutes to become a master of the bell switching, which you control with your left thumb.

But wait... there's more as they say. This is not just a fancy horn with 2 bells. It plays GREAT just as a stand alone trumpet. Strong tone, excellent intonation and even response across all registers. Everyone who has played this thought we should be charging $ 2000 or $ 3000 easy for it. Its that good!

Others have tried to copy our horn design. but it simply doesn't play nearly as well as ours. In our 3rd generation, the continued tweaks make all the difference.

This specific horn we have for sale has a minor cosmetic flaw that you have to look for to find. I did my best to "amplify" the flaw in the last picture. So, we are taking $ 200 off the price.
