Just in from the collection of Kiefer Sutherland, we have a beautiful 1959 Gibson ES-225N in factory Blond (Natural) finish with original pink plush lined hardshell case. The guitar is in very good used condition showing light cosmetic wear throughout with small dings, scuffs, scrapes and dents as well as fine lacquer checking on all parts of the instrument with finish. All parts original to the guitar to the best of our knowledge. This ES-225N features a 24 3/4" scale length, fully hollow Maple laminate body with single Florentine cutaway, F-holes and cream binding on the top and back, 16" lower bout, black multi-ply pickguard, equipped with it's original "Dog Ear" P-90 single coil pickup with black cover and controls for volume and tone, Trapeze tailpiece with wrap-around (over the top) bridge. The medium sized solid Mahogany neck features a comfortable full C-shape profile measuring .900" deep at the first fret and 1.00" deep at the ninth fret. The bound Rosewood fingerboard features a 9 1/2" radius, pearl dot inlaid fret markers and 20 original medium jumbo frets. The frets show only light play wear and have tons of life left, notes ring clean and clear with no dead spots or buzzing. The truss rod is accessed at the headstock beneath the bell shaped cover, it turns smoothly and functions as it should. The headstock wears a pearl inlaid Gibson logo and Kluson Deluxe tuning machines with white plastic buttons. The guitar weighs in at 5 lbs. 6 oz.
