The top, back and sides of the Lanikai “Malibu” tenor ukulele are made from solid koa that has been selected from the top 1% of koa that has been collected from the high slopes of the Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa volcanoes in Hawaii. The genuine solid mahogany neck carries a genuine Indian rosewood fingerboard. Other premium features include Solid Sitka spruce bracing, a hand-rubbed oil and wax finish, a custom cut real bone nut & saddle, a set of high-quality Gotoh tuners, abalone fingerboard inlays and a stunning “Makau” abalone headstock inlay that has been the traditional Hawaiian symbol for happiness for centuries.
