1997 Fernandes Decade A2 Electric Serial No. 100047

I received this vintage model from a player-collector; a beautiful Fernandes Decade A2 electric that was built in Sea Foam Green only in 1997. The Decade model line was built from 1997 - 1999; early models were A2's whereas late models in 1999 were named Custom's before retiring the model. I have seen various sellers identifying this model as a Jazzmaster, but my research and discussions with my friendly guitar tech shows that the Jazzmaster has a different pickup design. That said, I do not identify this to be a Jazzmaster.

Of the remaining vintage Fernandes guitars I have seen in person or online, this one may the cleanest guitar that endured professional live performance time by receiving touring guitar tech care. In the pics, I have identified the few guitar finish flaws that considering the age of the guitar, are admirable tour wounds.

My friend and pro guitar tech has gone over this baby and was reluctant to give it back. I planned to gift this special guitar to my nephew, but that is no longer an option.
