A truly fantastic guitar. The E-SA differs from a 335 in that it has a mahogany core and solid maple top (as opposed to a 335’s maple core and maple-poplar laminate). As a result this guitar has a very neat sound, somewhere between a 335 and a Les Paul. I put a set of Bareknuckle stormy mondays, which are based on lower output Alnico 2 pafs found in semi hollows. They are excellent sounding pick ups. Top has some subtle birdseye figuring to it. This is part of the lacquer touch series, which means it has a nitro top coat over a poly base. Small crack in the top was repaired by previous owner and I’ve had no issues. This is a wonderful guitar that I am sad to part with, however I recently purchased my dream guitar (a 64 block inlay 335 reissue) and just don’t play this enough to justify keeping it. Comes with an ESP brand hardshell.
