Based in beautiful Burlington, Vermont, Iris Guitars began in 2018 as a division of Circle Strings. Using advanced manufacturing techniques and state-of-the-art technology, along with years of knowledge and experience, Iris is able to hone the design and construction process of building fine guitars. In doing so, the available styles and options are limited to provide the highest quality at an affordable price.
This Iris finds its inspiration in Gibson's illustrious Roy Smeck Stage Deluxe model. Produced in the 1930s and 1940s, this iconic guitar model was distinguished by its hefty body and 12 fret construction. The Iris DF Smeck also possesses these qualities, giving it a very warm and distinctive sound laced with bass, but overall very open and responsive. A sound that lends itself perfectly to both fingerstyle and strumming. The spruce top and mahogany back and sides are finished in Iris' signature matt finish. The firestripe pickguard gives the guitar a stylish look and complements the burst finish beautifully.
This 2022 Iris DF Smeck has only light play marks on the pickguard, body and neck, and is in excellent condition. The guitar comes with TFOA passport in a hardshell case from TKL.
