Doom Boxx is an octave distortion pedal with a separate clean boost circuit. The distortion has 3 modes: Op Amp, Asymmetrical Clipping, and Symmetrical Clipping. The analog octave up effect can be blended to taste with a twist of the Octave knob. We've also added a latching Mute switch to instantly kill your signal, a momentary Panic switch to create a manual tremolo or stutter effect, and a Rage feedback loop to create chaotic, pitch shifting oscillation.

Check out our video for a demo of how it sounds.

Knob Descriptions:

VOL: Controls the output volume

FILTER: Controls the tone. Clockwise for darker tones and Counterclockwise for brighter

DIRT: Controls the amount of distortion

BOOST: Controls the output level of the boost circuit. This knob is only functional when the BOOST footswitch is activated

OCTAVE: Controls the amount of octave up effect. This is a monophonic analog octave and works best with single notes above the 12th fret while on the neck pickup.

RAGE: This knob only works when you activate the RAGE footswitch. Use it alongside the other knobs to control the behavior of the feedback loop

Switch Descriptions:

DOOM Footswitch: Activates the the distortion circuit

BOOST Footswitch: Activates the boost circuit

RAGE Footswitch: Activates the feedback loop

MUTE Footswitch: Latching switch that grounds the circuit and kills the signal

PANIC Footswitch: Momentary switch that mutes the signal when you press it

O | A | S Toggle: Switches between the following 3 distortion modes:

Top position “O”: Op amp distortion with no diode clipping

Middle position “A”: Asymmetrical clipping with 2 silicon diodes and one LED for an open, valve-like crunch. This position is noticeably louder than the other 2

Bottom position “S”: Classic symmetrical double diode clipping

NOTE: This pedal uses a feedback loop to create the oscillation effect. This means that it sends the output signal from the pedal back into its input. It matters where you place it in your signal chain. For best results, have it as the first pedal in your chain or only place it after true bypass pedals that are turned off. Also, it works best with passive pickups. If you have active pickups and are not getting the feedback results you would like, try a guitar with passive pickups.

This pedal has true bypass switching and requires that you supply a 9 volt DC power supply with a 2.1mm negative center barrel.
