Selling my 1969 Byrdland.

This is a great instrument, and if you're looking, you probably know what this is. Full hollow, 2 1/4 body depth and 23 1/2 scale length. The scale length is noticable, and makes stretchy chords much easier. It plays very, very well and has Thomastik 13 flats on it now.

I have had it since 2017 and the photos you see are from the seller I bought it from and are used with permission. This used to be the guitar and photos that Reverb used to illustrate what Byrdlands looked, and I've added some crappy phone photos so you can see that it's a real instrument, and I'm a real seller/owner.

As you can see in the photos, there is some finish checking and the pickguard has evaporated, like these old Gibson's do. Pickups are original, no breaks or cracks, etc. On the last few iPhone photos you can see that it has a set of Doug's Plugs, which has since gone under. These things are great and they do exactly what they need to do. I would often gig with only one in because they worked so well. The bass side f-hole one ripped a bit, as you can see in the photos.

Original case is included but the handle is broken on one side. It will need a replacement handle, but the original is still attached on one side of the handle.

I would very much prefer this to go to a local seller, or I'm willing to drive to do a handoff within 100 miles or so of Chicago. I'm also willing to take it to a UPS/FedEx facility and have them pack it very well and ship it to you.

Lastly, I'm very happy to facetime or zoom with you so you can see the instrument kind of in-person and get a better idea about the condition of the guitar, and I'm happy to play it so you can get an idea of the sound too.

If anyone has any questions, i just turned notifications on and most of my work happens on my phone so I'm glued to it. I'll be able to get back to you quickly. Please don't hesitate - I'm happy to answer any questions about anything about this instrument. You're going to love it!
