1930's Gibson T-00 with Tim Davis 5-String Neck
The neck is brand new and the rest of the banjo is in good shape for being 93 years old.
I had a 5 string neck made for and fitted to the pot by Tim Davis a couple years ago. It's got a nice mellow tone and it's super light and easy to play. The advantage to the T-00's is they don't have the heavy flat head tone rings but they still have a vintage wood rim, resonator and one piece flange. The one piece flange that comes on T-00's, and on this banjo, is the same flange that comes on on higher end 1930's prewar banjos which makes the banjo more valuable. The flange on this banjo is in great shape. It comes with a nice TKL Hard Shell Case too.
I found a video online that I included a link for which describes and demonstrates a 1930's RB-00 banjo which is the original 5-string version of the 00 series banjos. Mine is a T-00 with a new 5-string conversion neck. The video will help you hear and understand these banjos.
