For sale is a legend in the music industry… The Korg Triton Studio from 2001

The unit has been part of my home studio for about 5 years and has been extremely well cared for in my smoke-free home studio. It is almost AS NEW in condition.


Here are the basic specifications and features.

  • 120-note polyphony — essentially two pools of 60 notes, the first for internal ROM/RAM sounds, the second divided between the internal piano sample and any expansion boards.
  • 48MB PCM ROM (including the built-in 16MB stereo acoustic piano), with 429 multisamples and 417 drum samples.
  • Seven PCM expansion slots, 2 occupied (‘Piano & Classic Keys’ and ‘Studio Essentials’)
  • Three SIMM slots for a total of 96MB sample RAM (presently has 64Mb installed)
  • Built-in hard drive
  • Built-in CD-RW to publish your music and save data to CDs.
  • 1536 Program locations, in user-writable memory (512 preloaded).

  • Supports AIFF, WAV, AKAI (S1000/S3000 samples and mapped multisamples), and Korg-format sample data.

  • Performance controls include joystick, ribbon controller and real-time control knobs.

EXPANSION OPTIONS

  • Six-voice DSP MOSS synthesis board.
  • Up to seven 16MB PCM expansion cards.
  • ADAT output connector (EXB DI) with six-channel support and word clock in. The six outputs correspond to the Triton's six audio outputs (main left and right outs, and individual outs 1-4).
  • Optional mLAN interface (EXB mLAN).

The Triton Studio 76 is an ‘vintage classic' and will undoubtedly remain so for a long while to come. It’s excellent condition makes it ideal for any collector of vintage synths. Due to its size and weight, it cannot be shipped for less than $150 but it is available for pickup from the Midland (WA) area.
