Very early Zum 8x6 pedal steel guitar. I didn’t take off the necks to find the serial number, but I did fully clean the changers and undercarriage.
Pedals are typical Emmons setup, LKL1 raises the Es, LKL2 raises strings 1 &2. LKR lowers 6 a whole step (rod compensator for the B pedal) LKV lowers string 5 (rod compensator).
RKL lowers the E9th Es and C6th string 3. RKR lowers E9th 2 and 9 with a decent half-stop feel and C6th As a half-step.
One replaced tuning key, OHSC has a replacement handle.
This guitar has the fast, tight feel that Zums are known for. It is a fantastic guitar, but I don’t need a stable of PSGs.
I’ll answer any questions (although I’m not taking the necks off to find the serial number) that you may have. The early logo and round cross shafts tell you that this is an early one. It will only appreciate in value, as the builder has retired. IYKYK.
