Vintage National Tricone Hawaiian "Exploding Palm Tree" Square Neck.
One of only about 8 that have been accounted for.
Brass body with nickel plating, virtually unmarked.
Overall conditions very good to excellent.
There is some light playwear on the edges of the neck, and also a round blemish on the back of the neck. An identification number has been engraved into the back of the peghead.
The "Exploding Palm" art Deco design etched on the back and sides is a rarity.
These guitars have not appeared in any of the company's catalogs or literature from that period.
The sound is loud, full and drenched in vintage mojo.
Comes with what is apparently the original chipboard case, which is in good shape.
The guitar is all original with no issues or repair history.
It is a true collector's piece, ready to play right now.
